From the slope alongside the No. 4 Pair Lift at Kumano-yu Ski Area, hike uphill and enter the forest on the right-hand side of the summit direction from the intermediate station of the No. 4 Pair Lift.
Along the way, there is a narrow trail with Route 66 running below, so please watch your footing and proceed carefully.
If you only want to make a quick ascent of Mt. Kasagatake, you can drive directly to Toge-no-Chaya (tea house) and use the parking area there.
Note: Toge-no-Chaya is currently closed, but temporary restroom facility is available for use.
The route from Toge-no-Chaya to the summit of Mt. Kasagatake passes through rocky terrain where alpine plants such as lingonberries grow, offering a glimpse of the area’s rugged natural landscape. (It takes about 25 mins to the summit)
Some sections of the trail have unstable footing, so please exercise extra caution while hiking.
